Monitoring Gui

To start an "expert" monitoring GUI:

On any one of the clon machines, log in as hpsrun. Start an xterm and type the command: "startEcalMonitoring" (or any of the other system's monitoring scripts). The GUI will start up in "DISCONNECTED" state shown in red. Click on the connect button (top bar, looks like an extension cord plug). The status should now be "CONNECTED" in green. A new window opens up with the ECAL Event Display and the ET System Monitoring plots will be created. As soon as some data is available, additional histograms are created in the histogramming area.
