Head of the lab, A.G. Dolgolenko 20% of research time, also works with GlueX and DIANA collaboration Staff scientist, V.V. Tarasov 20% of research time, also works with GlueX collaboration Staff scientist, V.A. Matveev 20% of research time, also works with DIANA collaboration

Responsibilities

Note: please include only current, active responsibilities. This is not meant to be a CV for the group. In general, we would like to know who is doing what right now.

  1. Head of the lab, A.G. Dolgolenko' is responsible for the gain calibrations for the KLF detector. He is also responsible for online and offline monitoring and manages his related research work on the DIANA Experiment entails no overlap with KLF physics.

Staff scientist, V.V. Tarasov has research interest on the DIANA experiment and do not overlap his work at KLF. He is responsible for the Calibration and Software development and is doing some reconstruction, calibration and alignment analisys.

  1. Staff scientist, V.A. Matveev has research interest on the DIANA experiment and do not overlap his work at KLF. He is responsible for the Calibration and Software development and is doing some Monte Carlo Tuning. Also, he is responsible for the drift chamber alignments in KLF and the internal CDC alignments and time-to-distance relations. He also developed the first past timing calibrations.

Physics Interests

  1. Formation of \Sigma* and \Lambda* hyperons with K-long beam interacting with cryo LH2 and LD2 targets.
  2. Exploring reactions with final state K\Xi reaction for a search of \Xi* hyperons.
  3. Search for exited \Omega* hyperons in a KK\Omega* final states
  4. Search for \kappa meson and other heavier K*'s in the K-pi scatterings.
  5. The possibility studies for \beta decay of K-long with the Flux Monitor of KLF.
  6. The possibility studies for Primakoff reaction on nuclei with K-long beam.

Disclosure of Other Research Activities

A.G. Dolgolenko and V.A. Matveev also work on the DIANA collaboration studying exotic particle production in pK0 invariant mass spectrum, however because the production mechanism and decay channels are different there does not seem to be a conflict of interest with the ongoing work in the KLF collaboration. A.G. Dolgolenko and V.V. Tarasov works with GlueX collaboration on PrimEx and CPP/NPP experiments and have no conflict of interest with the ongoing work in the KLF collaboration.
