NC A&T SU Nuclear Physics group’s Service Statement on the KLF Collaboration

Faculty members

Prof. Ashot Gasparian, 20% of research time, full time on the PRad, PRad-X17 and PrimEx-D collaborations.

Responsibilities

Prof. Ashot Gasparian the leader of PrimEx-D, PRad and PRad-X17 collaborations in Halls D and B. In particular, he is responsible for the refurbishment of the HyCal calorimeter in Hall B to execute the PRad-II and X17 search experiments in Hall B. He is also responsible for the gain calibration of the Forward Calorimeter (FCAL) in the PrimEx-D experiment in Hall D.

== Physics Interests ==

Precision measurement of the Proton Charge Radius to address the current “Proton Radius Puzzle”. Search for hypothetical new particles in a mass range of [3-60] MeV. Eta-meson radiative decay width presicion measurement in Hall D. The possibility studies for Primakoff type reactions on nuclei with K-long beam.

Disclosure of Other Research Activities

Prof. Ashot Gasparian is also works on PRad, PRad-X17 and PrimEx-D collaborations. However, those are different physical mechanisms and different experiments, there does not seem to be a conflict of interest with the ongoing work in the KLF collaboration.
