NPS DEINSTALLATION
- About half way done - see the NPS deinstallation schedule RevF-2
- Fabric storage tent is not yet available for activated equipment
- currently storing these items in the hall, and it is getting crowded
- so far Yellow rails, one of blue floor plates, and stairs down on floor
- Planning meeting to figure out suitable space in fabric storage for the equipment - should be stationary and not require further moving once placed
- Radcon techs recommend to rope off areas in the fabric storage
- Some items in fabric storage seem to be there for short-term storage and can perhaps be moved elsewhere
- 14x17 and 13x6 feet areas seem to be available, but may not be ideal
- Also need meetings about storage for NPS detector (planned location is in the ESB, but not yet available)
- Transportation of NPS detector will be done same way as transporting in
- Blown air to dry the NPS detector lines - has been done
- crane detector on trailer
- to avoid crystal sliding, secure detector in the same way as
- install acceleration sensors
- take into account temperature gradient when transporting - dry out with desiccant and maybe white/reflective issue tarp (secondary protection from sun)
- Cables moved to physics storage, cables for LAD are still in the hall
- Chiller status
- in roped off area in physics storage
- drying out lines
- waiting for go ahead from radcon
- ends of the hose - may need to re-order spares
- replacement for chiller unit
NPS COLLABORATION MEETING AGENDA DRAFT
- This time agenda is in Indico - the location is linked from the NPS Wiki Collaboration meeting page. Direct Indico Link
- Registration
- send a reminder that for on-person participation one needs to complete the JLab registration and training process
- registration for an in-person visit takes at least one week
- Day 1 Lessons Learned and next experiments with NPS
- Add explicit time slot for Mark Jones (~10min.)
- Add Experiment overview for all approved NPS experiments (~10min) - each overview should include what is planned, in particular if re-config of NPS is needed, and plan for assembly of CPS, if needed
- Add CPS status talk (Steven L. et al.)
- Add discussion session about de-installation/re-installation, etc. (Jerry N. et al.)
- Add discussion on an NPS detector paper
- Add Electronics/DAQ talks: trigger review and changes needed (Ben Raydo), DAQ updates/plans for SRO (D. Lawrence)
- Add "Simulation Flow rate" (Silviu) to target updates
- Move "Inclusive cross sections" to Analysis part of the meeting
- Day 1 New Physics with NPS
- May need to reduce to fit with the first part of Day 1
- Day 1 Analysis Status/Progress --> Analysis Status/Progress/Goals
- May need to move to Day 2 into the Analysis part of the meeting
- Some talks given by students, some might be given by staff or others who just did a similar analysis that may be of interest for NPS RG1
- Day 2 Analysis Plans
- Add discussion on Overall planning for raw data replays - what goes into each one, time frames, etc.
- Simulation tools: discussion about organizing by physics
