SUMMARY NOTES
SHIELDING DESIGN MODEL (Josh)
- Stacking progressing well, so far ~3000 Pb and ~3000
- Power and cooling feeds - use example from NPS
- Feeds coming through roof - favorable from radiation point of view
- Actions:
- Add arrow to indicate beam direction
- Add legend for types of shielding material, e.g. purple=poly, grey=W, green=Pb
- For power/cooling feeds, use example from NPS (Steven L.)
- Beam pipe shape
- Bogdan can send model
- Gabriel can send optimized cone model
- discussion of filling pipes
LEAD STATUS (Bogdan)
- waiting for transportation company
- current quotes much more expensive than local company
DESIGN/ENGINEERING (Amy)
- Discussion of the model that is being developed
- Heat source: Need functional fit of heat/temperature distribution along beam line (power density [W/m3] as function of z)
- check origin of z for consistency between models (z=0 at center of magnet?) - must avoid offsets
HALLD DESIGN AND RADIATION (Sean)
- Working on transferring radiation simulation framework - scheduling separate meeting with Gabriel on this
TCS TRIGGER CONCEPT (Vardan)
- Add information on rates - to show how thresholds/trigger were selected
- specifically: count rate on individual blocks as function of amplitude - occupancy
NEXT MEETING: FRIDAY 2 OCTOBER AT 8:00AM ET
