TRANSVERSE TARGET ACTIVITIES

• Presentation on the development of a target system optimized for transverse polarization

• System is a mixture of existing and new equipment

• new, wide-split superconducting magnet (Field 5T - to get to lower field need additional design)
• new pumps
• new NMR
• existing vacuum chamber
• existing 1K fridge
• existings microwaves

• New system will be modular and flexible for use (aside from CPS) in other halls and experiments

TCS UPDATE

• Presentation on unpolarized TCS studies

• Reduction of background with a cut on t looks promising
• A full set of low Q2 studies seems not possible
