Telework

  • This is the first week of telework due to corvid-19. Some access to the lab to obtain needed equipment may be possible, but will need to be coordinated. If needed, people should contact Graham.
  • We are starting to ramp up use of Microsoft Teams. Everyone encouraged to use it so we can identify the parts that are useful for our remote working conditions.
  • No end date for the telework is known

A.I. Hire

  • Have contacted HR, but communication cycle is not fast.

SRO

  • Vardan has setup a SharePoint page to start gathering information relevant to SRO. Graham pointed out there is a documents section on the SciComp SharePoint page. Vardan will start putting documents there.

JANA2

  • Nathan has been in contact with a an eJANA user @ CERN, helping them with it. He is a bit behind on the ACTS (tracking software) implementation for EIC, but is under pressure by the EIC folks to ramp it up this week.

ADIOS

  • Carl has compiled ADIOS on his laptop and started reviewing the documentation. He will look into testing it on the high speed (100Gbps) Indra network using indras1, and indras2

MCWrapper

  • Graham spoke with Nobuo who is interested in running jobs on OSG. The thinking is that Thomas' MCWrapper may be generalized to allow submitting any job, not just simulation jobs.
  • Some work was done to support EIC with MCWrapper with a JupyterHub button. When Thomas tried to demonstrate this to Yulia, it had already been broken (by Wes). It has since been fixed.
