  • Announcements
    • EPSCI group meeting moved to Tuesday next week (Apr. 6)
    • Amitoj welcome on Friday
      • HPC specialist from Fermilab
      • Design experience with HPC clusters
      • Starts April 1st.
    • Fortnight paper will be delayed 2 weeks
    • SPACK deployment will be delayed
  • EIC
    • No word on merged efforts w/ ANL
      • discussions apparently still ongoing
  • Frameworks
    • Nathan working to implement JANA2 microservice in CLARA/ERSAP
    • Started with jtridas code
    • Using data format from Eric Pooser era for now (will update when something newer is available)
  • Data Transport
    • Multiple discussions last week with various stakeholders
    • Strengthening relationship with ESnet
      • Will meet with ESnet Thurs. @ 13:00
    • Will meet internally Wed. @10am
    • Met with Xilinx sales rep and got information on new and upcoming product lines
  • CODA
    • GUI for browsing EVIO files being adapted for new EVIO-6
  • Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs)
    • Three different FOAs currently open. One for Nuclear Physics and two for ASCR
    • Several ideas being floated and will be discussed by ADs at meeting on Teusday
  • GPU purchased by ENP for SciComp farm signed last week
  • AI
    • Hydra paper
      • Comments by Naomi are in
      • Some discussion needed by primary authors
    • Thomas gave seminar at CMU (virtually) last week on Hydra
      • CMS started doing this (group of people)
        • Started off similar to us with images, but abandoned it for system using histogram values as inputs
  • Jupyterhub
    • Some issues getting shared libraries in jupyter
    • Kishan now able to use GPU with epsci-notebook
  • OSG
    • lustre is now unmounted from scosg16 which should avoid future issues where accessing it slowed things down (Denial Of Service)
    • Trying to improve throughput for GlueX
