A.I. Hire

  • Job posting is up!

DOE FOA

  • The LAB_20-2261 FOA for ML at DOE facilities is being worked on by Thomas and David.
  • Possible to get one or two postdocs who presumably would work within our group

Software Licenses

  • CLion licenses used by Carl and Vardan are about to expire.
    • Will renew 5 license subscription pack.
    • David still has 3 licenses bought with LDRD money and good for one more year
    • Will try and consolidate them into single pack next year
  • GitKraken
    • Carl asked for a subscription so he can use it with private GitHub repositories
    • Several other people have been using the free version as well and find it useful
    • Will get a set of 6 licenses

EPSCI group disk, wiki

  • We now have a group disk space setup under /group/epsci. It has a modest amount of space at the moment, but it is snapshotted and ready for use.
  • May wish to have some directory in /group/epsci be we accessible so we can publish certain files
  • Wiki is now up and available (this may have happened since the meeting last week. I can't recall).

DNP Workshop

  • Received invitation to give talk on "Machine Learning for Improving Data Analysis and Performance of Experiments" at the DNP meeting at LSU at the end of Oct.
  • Update: Asked Gagik if he was interested and then forwarded his name to organizers

HEP SF Talk

  • We were asked to give a talk on the threading model used by JANA2 at the HEP SF group on frameworks this Wed.
  • David and Nathan will attend. David will give the talk
  • A place needs to be made on the EPSCI wiki to gather links to these types of talks that we give
