Agenda:

  • Announcements
  • Streaming CODA with EJFAT-based Event Building
    • Current Status of EJFAT Integration with CODA Streaming infrastructure
      • Ongoing efforts to integrate the EJFAT high-performance transport and adaptive load-balancing framework into the streaming CODA infrastructure.
        • Installed the required software stack on tania.jlab.org, including:
          • e2sar, e2sar-java, ersap-java, ersap-cpp, ersap-e2sar, coda-3.10_devel
          • Dependencies: protobuf, gRPC, ZeroMQ, and others.
        • Successfully validated ersap-e2sar test pipelines on tania.jlab.org.
          • Issue: tania.jlab.org experiences occasional system freezes.
      • Next steps:
        • Validate ersap-e2sar test pipelines on ejfat-6.jlab.org.
        • Continue installing the required software stack on ejfat-6.
        • Plan to integrate e2sar reassembler within the CLAS12 data-stream processing pipeline.
      • Ready to stream VTP data into the CODA-ERSAP pipeline, where the CODA aggregator is represented as an ERSAP actor.
  • RTDP
    • Extracting and processing VTP payloads from PCAP files recorded during recent beam studies, as part of the RTDP project.
      • Broadcasting PCAP-based VTP streams to TCP sockets (Completed by Jeng).
      • Development of an ERSAP actor capable of receiving these VTP streams and preparing the data for downstream processing (Jeng, Vardan).
  • PET Data Acquisition and Processing Workflows
    • Ongoing Integration of PET Detector Streams into the ERSAP Ecosystem
      • Continuing work on integrating PET detector data streams, including stream acceptance and processing within the ERSAP framework (John, Vardan).
      • Current Issue: Configuration of ERSAP DPE host IP and user experience (UX) challenges.
  • Streaming CODA
    • Required Upgrades for AFECS
      • EJFAT Integration: Extend AFECS to support EJFAT as an additional high-performance transport framework, alongside Socket, ET, and cMsg. This will enable adaptive data movement, dynamic load balancing, and optimized event distribution within the CODA ecosystem.
      • JcEdit Extension: Enhance JcEdit to support ERSAP actors, including RTDP components, along with their definition and configuration.
  • AOT
