Minutes

These recreated one week after meeting using some very sparse notes.

  • We spent time going over the review document for remote program launching. Of the options mentioned, the Superfacility project at NERSC seemed closest to our use case
  • Ayan has made a program that can read data from a TCP port and display updates to the screen as an endpoint for an ERSAP configuration so that it can be monitored.
  • Fabio has updated the test document with more recent accelerator schedule.
  • Jeng has started investigating the use of wireshark, tcpdump, and tcpreplay for packet capture.
  • Cissie has begun to investigate GUIs.
    • Sankey plots
    • Forms for configuration
  • Davids spoke with David Abbott about firmware upgrades to Hall-B DCRB boards to support streaming. He thought having it by next Spring should be doable, but I would need to talk with Chris and Ben.

Action Items

  1. Investigate use of realtime queue at NERSC - Jeng
  2. Investigate the Superfacility API at NERSC - Cissie

  4. (from 10/26) Ask Chris/Ben about schedule for SRO capable DCRB firmware - David
  5. Update test plan schedule to reflect new accelerator pass change schedule - Fabio
  6. Review [document on distributed process launching technologies - All
