Preliminary agenda to discuss a strategy to resubmit our KLF proposal for PAC46 in summer of 2018.

  • Focus on two tasks: double strange cascades and kapa-meson.
  • Generate quasi-data using a full MC and do the PWA to demonstrate impact of the proposed experiment on the world knowledge. That is the PAC45 suggestion. Mikhail, Nick, Kijun, and Taylor may generate quasi-data and Cesar of JPAC will fit them. We will set it up at the beginning of November.
  • New MC for the neutron target. Nick and Mikhail shown thatr KLn-->K+Sigma- is promising [1]. Using one or two models, Maxim will generate input for Mikhail and Nick. We will set it up Sept 11th.
  • GlueX Collab meeting is scheduled for Oct 12-14 [2]. Let let us propose two KLF presentations by Mikhail (device to measure KL flux) and MC for quasi-data and by Marouen for his K-pi studies as "Meson Spectroscopy with Neutral Kaon Beam".
  • Have a "Light Meson Spectroscopy" (tentative title) Workshop at the beginning of 2018.
  • Using a detail map of Hall D, show CPS and Be-target design and location. It will require new MC for neutron and gamma rad effects. Then Hall D engineers will provide a cost estimation. Bogdan promised to have a design of CPS in 6 weeks or so. We have to work on the Be-target design.
  • New Start Counter and LH2/LD2 target. We have to set it up in a month or so.
