The rad levels directly upstream of MQA7R10 are quite low, as reported by RadCon. The rad levels immediately downstream of MQA7R10 are significantly elevated. The rad survey clearly indicates beam loss starting at that quad. Once we are able to send tune beam around, we will investigate orbit and optics in the 7R region and try to clean things up. The VIP7R07A readback was correlated strongly with beam current, and can be used as a diagnostic aid.

Phase 3 is here!!!!!!!!

Hall A looked at positrons on a dummy target overnight, taking runs at LHRS angles of (16.8, 17.57, 19.115, 20.57). We officially moved to phase 3 around 7 this morning. MCC increased the max juice level to 24uA and Dave unlocked the gas targets.

Our goal today is to let MCC deliver as much current as they need, up to 22.5uA. So with that in mind, we should try to limit the amount of time with beam off to a minimum. Our current physics goal is to take positron data on the gas targets!

MCC planed to address RF separator issue. While in the tunnel, the survey found a hot spot, [1] The rad levels directly upstream of MQA7R10 are quite low, as reported by RadCon. The rad levels immediately downstream of MQA7R10 are significantly elevated. The rad survey clearly indicates beam loss starting at that quad. Once we are able to send tune beam around, we will investigate orbit and optics in the 7R region and try to clean things up. The VIP7R07A readback was correlated strongly with beam current and can be used as a diagnostic aid. @ 2: PM a fire alarm in the South linac. https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3549154
