RC: Carlos Ayerbe
Summary of past 72h:
Accelerator
- 7:30 - ARC magnet issues causes the beam to be off. Same problem was reported last Wednesday. ---> https://cebaf.jlab.org/dtm/open-events?event_id=3456
Friday March 2nd
Swing shift
- data production
Saturday March 3rd
Owl shift
- data production
- 00:50 beam off ~1.5h due HPA water problem
- Due to a misunderstanding in the crew, two runs with H2 were taken instead of He3.
Day shift
- data production
- 09:27 Beam to the Hall off ~1.5h due to Beamstopper A-chain dropped ---> https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3541990
Swing shift
- data production
- 19:50 Raster X power off ---> https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3542196
- 20:40 Bill Gunning enter under control access to repair. 24V power supply replaced ---> https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3542226
- ~2h without production.
Sunday March 4th
This day we dedicated to take H3 and He3 data in exclusive until obtain ~30k good electrons at each target.
Owl shift
- data production
Day shift
- data production
Swing shift
- data production
- Beam quality degrading along the shift.
- 21:40 1L24 SEL Quenches and 2L09 dropped HV. Beam off for 3h.
Monday March 5th
Owl shift
- data production
- Reached the 30k goal
Day shift
Change of plans!!!
All the time schedule is moved one hour late in order to allow Hall C finish a kinematic point before change polarity with control access.
Hall A and B entered in controlled access early (9:00) so we didn't run parasitic runs.
- 9:00 Beam Studies (+1h)
- Parasitic data (No Hall A)
- 11:00 Controlled Access (RadCon requested at 9:00)
- LHRS Polarity changed
- Vacuum minor inspection
- Walk-through
13:39 Accelerator site power outage (A LOT OF ALARMS!!). Target temperature ~50K, Dave Meekens on site.
PLAN
- LHRS positrons data
- RHRS data production
DATA Status
Round IX. Column 27/(24+4).
Good Electrons LHRS: He3: 30.3k; H3: 30.7k; D2: 29k
RHRS: He3: 37.4k; H3: 16.6k; D2: 15.6k
Plan:
- -Changing LHRS polarity
- -measuring positrons (LHRS)
- -Normal running RHRS
Total: two shifts.
EXTRA:
- Tuesday RF Recovery
- Start 8:30
- Ends 12:30
