Summary of past 24h:
Smooth running with hydrogen target over night. Switched to Tritium in the morning and changed the left arm momentum setting from 2.10 to 2.218 GeV/c.
Accelerator
- Up and delivering ~22 uA to Hall A.
Swing & Owl shift
- Hydrogen data taking. Mostly smooth with a bit trippy beam.
Day shift
- Had few issues during the transition (left Q3 trip, target vacuum). Escorted access to reset the LQ3 (Jessie).
- Summary from the escorted access in the morning:
- Q3 reset done in the hall and successfully brought up to 1600A. Trip immediately after turning on the regulator.
- Brining it down slowly from 1600A to 900A, and then turning on the regulator worked.
- -> Perhaps safe/time-saving way until we improve the stability. Update magnet HOW TO for Q3?
- Beamline vacuum problem when moving to Home position. Very slow recovery (~1h).

NOTE:
- Pay attention to energy shift and energy lock/FB system (they should be ON).
- Especially when beam comes back from downtime, keep an eye on the beam quality and energy lock. If the energy lock is off, ask MCC to turn it on.
- Message from Ole:
- Do not store your online analysis output in the a-onl home directory.
- Use file servers (recommend to put on chafs2 for personal replay)
Plan:
Continue data taking with Tritium target.
Also, note that day light saving time will end at 2 AM on Sunday.
Monday beam study plan:
Scheduled beam study for 4h starting from 8:30 am on Monday.
MCC needs Hall A for 1C12 calibration (2h). We will keep the hall locked up throughout the beam studies, and perhaps take dummy data if possible.
Any work in the hall should plan for Tuesday (system recovery).
