JLab E12-17-003 (nnΛ experiment)

Overview

This experiment searches for the either resonance or bound nnΛ state through the 3H(e,e'K+)nnΛ reaction at JLab Hall A.
The experiment is scheduled to perform from Oct 22 to Nov 11, 2018.

Experimental setup

We will use the two arms of HRSs in JLab Hall A.
The beam at Ee = 4.3 GeV will be incident on a gaseous tritium target with a thickness of about 80 mg/cm2,
and scattered electrons and K+s with central momenta of 2.2 and 1.8 GeV/c will be measured by HRSs at &theta_{K}; = θ_{e'} = 13.2 degrees.
