  • Some of our data needed to be moved out of /group/halld by request from Alex A. The disk was getting full.
    • Some of the files were old Hydra models
    • Wiki needs to be updated with new location of AIOP-relevant files
  • Jiawei showed some slides
    • Statistics for identified nudge events for 3 run periods were shown
    • Criteria for identifying nudge events reviewed
    • Primary mechanism is to look for changes in the setpoint values
    • Most nudge events happened within 5 minutes just before starting a run
      • Some run periods had 30-40 nudge events identified during a run
    • Hovanes noted:
      • The pitch and yaw values will not change when switching between amorphous and diamond (only roll, x, y)
      • Radiator ID should be used to identify whether we switched to another diamond
      • There are "fast" and "slow" nudging buttons which correspond to step sizes that differ by about a factor of 10. The "fast" represents the larger step and will take a correspondingly longer time to complete.
      • It may take around 6 weeks to 2 months to damage a spot on a diamond enough to move to a different location
        • This is decided by the Run Coordinator and typically is based on the sharpness of the coherent edge and the availability of fresh areas on the diamond.
  • Patrick showed some slides
    • Focused on Spring 2023 data
    • Extensive discussion on what mySampler is doing, nudge criteria, etc.
    • The statistics for identified nudge events differed from what Jiawei was seeing for other data sets.
      • Patrick suggested running his algorithm on the Spring 2020 data set in order to compare with results from Jiawei's identifier on the same data set.
