Agenda

A general discussion on analysis

Attendance

onsite- Evan, Dien, Mike, Tyler, Jason, Tong and Shujie
phone - Zhihong, Ellie and Buddhini

Minutes

  • Jason is looking at BPM calibration runs from GMP. He has found BPM calibration information on the Hall A wiki but Buddhini said the information are old and he should contact Bob with questions.Jason is also not sure where he can find the GMP BPM calibration runs. Buddhini suggested him to talk to Thir.
  • Tylor is working on the R analysis. Him and Mike plan to show their work at the next weeks meeting once the analysis is checked by their advisers.
  • Mike was having analyzer issues but was able to get them fixed. He is following Jason's work on the cerenkov calibrations using the Gmp data. He would like to do some PID analysis too and will talk to Markis about it later this week.
  • Dien is still working on SAMC D2 cross-section simulations.
  • Tong is working with Doug on the energy measurement. He started looking at the 12 GeV energy measurements and the results from harp scans.
  • Shujie has started working on FADC's of the Compton polarimeter. These will be used in SOLID. She plans to work on xem_hms this week.
  • Jason and Mike are wondering about the online replay analyzer we are going to use. They wanted to know if we are going to create an analyzer from scratch. The plan is to use the GMP replay analyzer which is copied from previous Hall A experiments. Buddhini will talk to Kalyan and Barak about what needs to be done to get the analyzer setup.
  • Zhihong suggested that it would be nice for us to use the SeaQuest online replay analyzer since it is more nice and clear than the old Hall A one. Evan knows the code so Evan volunteered to see what needs to be done. It its something easy to propagate, we can try to do it. If its hard, we can just use the old Hall A analyzer. But in the long run, it will be nice for Hall A to have a new and improved replay script.
