Minutes

• Jason presented an update on his simple simulation of the EMC effect.
  • Currently he is working on changing the ratio of high to low momentum protons in his simulation to see which configuration gives him an EMC ratio that is comparable to what is seen from data at x<1.
  • Jason has done some literature survey on the BPMs but have not started looking at actual BPM calibration data yet. Buddhini suggested he should start to do that too using GMP data since we are getting closer to the experiment running dates. Jason can get help from Thir (GMP grad student) for this study.

• Dien presented the status of her tracking efficiency analysis. This is part of the data quality checks she is doing on the E08014 data set.
  • She is currently trying to check the validity of the assumption used in estimating the corrected yield using tracking efficiency. See slide 21 of her talk for the details.
