• Jason presented an update on the work he is doing
  • Simulating the nucleon momentum distributions to get the EMC effect
    • Trying to use two exponential functions to produce the momentum distribution predicted by theory model AV18. Seeing the step in the region where the two functions meet. Trying to fine tune the fits to remove this step.
    • Studying the simulated events in Q2, W, Xb, Delta vs XbW vs Xb, Q2 vs Xb, Q2 vs W to identify the regions with the EMC effect. Slide 12 has a nice colourful plot showing these different regions.
  • Looking at GMP optics (carbon multifoil target) runs to calibrate the cerenkov detector and to reproduce GMP's results.
  • Reading about the functionality and hardware of beam position monitors
