Target Meeting (HRS-HKS experiment at JLab Hall A)
- 21:00-21:30 on April 26, 2021 EDT (10:00-10:30 on April 27, 2021 JST)
- Participants: David Meekins, Toshiyuki Gogami
- via BlueJeans
Discussion
- The idea to increase the density of helium gas targets
- 1. Take out hydrogen gas target (it is expected to take a few hours)
2. Cool down the helium gas targets at twelve kelvin for physics runs. - The density of the helium gas could be increased by a factor of 3.5 (the thickness of 75 mg/cm2 changes to 260 mg/cm2)
- Dave will summarize the estimations in the proposal.
→ Toshi will consider to change the beam intensity or beamtime to maximize physics output.
- 1. Take out hydrogen gas target (it is expected to take a few hours)
- Raster
- 2 × 2 mm2 is assumed.
- It can be 0.5 × 0.5 mm2, but the density reduction effect will be larger.
