DAQ Meeting (Hypernuclear experiment at JLab)

  • 15:00-16:00 on Nov 15th, 2023 EST
  • Participants: Chandan (JLab), Hanjie (JLab), Alexandre (JLab), Nue (Tokyo), Ben (JLab), Teppei(Kyoto), Toshi (Kyoto)
  • Place: CC F228 (JLab)

Discussion

  • FPGA Trigger
    • Let's start the simulation first
      → Ben will give teppei the information.
    • Work on with C++
  • Resources such as fADC and crates are supposed to be available after May 2024.
  • High resolution TDC
    • There are F1 TDCs
    • VETROC may be avaiable although it is being tested.
  • Low resolution TDC
    • Wire hit information could be used for trigger if VETROC is used.
      → Simpler trigger is better in terms of an efficiency.
      → We do not need to use the wire hit information for the trigger (only counters are supposed to be enough).
  • Where will the front end crates locate?
    • In SHMS bunker or HES/HKS bunkers.
